Calligos Winterscale is a major Npc and potential Companion in Rogue Trader who the player character will interact with during their adventures in the Koronus Expanse. He is the holder of the Writ of Trade and is Lord-Captain of his dynasty. Depending on your choice, he will become your ally or enemy, which you may very much regret.

Protectorate? More like the bleeding scraps of one. The warp storm tore it to shreds, but my servants will piece it back together. And if they don't — I'll chop off their heads and find myself more capable helpers.

Few are the dynasties who can lay claim to being headed by nothing short of a mythical figure, and fewer still are the Rogue Traders who can claim to have become a figure of myth through truly legendary deeds. Whether by cutting down an infamous Ork freebooter or driving out an Aeldari corsair that had been scourging across the Expanse.

But, then again, few can claim to be Calligos Winterscale.

Having risen up from nothing and taken up the reigns of the Winterscale dynasty, Calligos Winterscale is a tall and broad-chested brute who has strongarmed his way into a position of truly unrivaled eminence within the Koronus Expanse. From his personal realm carved out amid the Expanse, a vast array of planets pay their fealty to a man with very few equals. They provide an immeasurable quantity of goods, services and trade to the rest of the Imperial holdings in the territory. But he also maintains an iron grip upon several high-value commodities and resources unique to local and dangerous regions that dwell within or trail out from his realm.

However, every star is bound to dim with time, and those that burn brightest often fizzle out the fastest. Even more so when a new star finds itself on the rise. And now, only time will tell what the new Lord Captain of the von Valancius dynasty might make of this truly fearsome foe that maintains a near stranglehold over the Koronus Expanse.

Calligos Winterscale can be found personally at the Rogue Trader's ascension celebration. If Vladaym Tocara The Liege remains as the liege of Footfall and you don't strike a deal with Incendia Bastaal-Chorda, Calligos Winterscale will gift you the Eye of Hecaton.
Calligos Winterscale will be found once again during Hunting Grounds, on the planet Quetza Temer.

How to recruit Calligos Winterscale Secret Companion in Rogue Trader

Calligos Winterscale is one of the three secrets companions players can recruit. The other two are Incendia Bastaal-Chorda and Uralon the Cruel. To recruit him you need to pick the Heretical option when you first meet him and then again when you and him encounter the eldar. If you do this he will join after Questions and Answers.
