Ministorum Priest is an Origin. Origins in Rogue Trader are the possible occupations that the player character practised before becoming Lord Captain. The choice of Origin adds extra bonuses to your characters, such as additional Talents, Abilities, and bonuses to different Characteristics.
Faith, above all else, is the lifeblood of the Imperium of Mankind. It is the light amid the dark that guides them to safer harbors; it is their refuge amid the endless storms of an uncaring universe; it is their sword to be brought to bear upon the teeming hordes of horrors that infest their fair galaxy. But faith requires a shepherd to steer the aimless flock of people, and the Ministorum Priest aims to do just that. The Ecclesiarchy, known formally as the Adeptus Ministorum, is a vast institution that oversees the galaxy-spanning religion of the Imperium. The Ecclesiarchy's complex hierarchies of cardinals, missionaries, preachers, and zealous laity ensure the prescribed prayers and invocations are made, all the while instructing the masses to guard against heresy and deviancy. You used to be one of those fiery and charismatic individuals concerned with keeping a close watch on your congregation.
