Exemplar is a Tier III Archetype in Rogue Trader. Exemplar can be unlocked after reaching level 36 with any Tier II Archetype. Exemplar offers a unique blend of versatility and specialization. As you progress, you can reclaim missed Talents from your previous Tier I and Tier II Archetypes, choose from a broad talent pool, enhance Skills and Characteristics, and gain unique Abilities. 

 

Mere survival in the grim darkness of the far future is no easy task, to thrive in it — a next to impossible one. But some manage to go beyond and become Exemplars. Not only do Exemplars possess extraordinary knowledge in their given archetypes, but they have also reached the pinnacle of mastery, transcending what is thought to be possible.

Exemplar Requirements in Rogue Trader

To unlock Exemplar Archetype, players need to reach level 36 with one of the following Tier II Archetypes:

Rogue Trader Exemplar Class Progression

As you level up, you can pick new talents and abilities to boost your character. The choices you receive depend on the archetypes you've previously chosen. So, when you reach the"'Pick a Tier I Archetype Talent" stage, the pool from which you can pick will be determined by your earlier decisions in the game.

Exemplar Abilities and Ultimate Abilities in Rogue Trader

The Exemplar Archetype does not have unique abilities related to itself, instead it allows players to select Abilities from the first-tier archetype and the second-tier archetype. 

In the case of Ultimate Abilities, the Exemplar does not have any, and players will have two ultimate abilities, even if they reach the level cap. One for the first-tier archetype, and another one for the second-tier archetype. The Exemplar DOES NOT add any Ultimate ability of its own.
