I have visited many of the places brought to the Emperor's light... and those sullied by the filth of the Archenemy. In truth, even after all these years spent visiting the various corners of the Imperium and looking beyond its borders, I still consider the Segmentum Solar to be the greatest of all Humanity's bastions.

Heinrix Van Calox Lore

A Life of Service

Nobility comes in many forms within the Imperium, but nowhere are the tenets and lofty ideals meant to be embodied by the concept of nobility more iconic than in that of a Knight house. They are paragons of chivalry, etiquette, militant might and the ability to conduct oneself with the decorum expected of the high class. But they are also known for being quite hardline in their traditions, and if someone breaks these norms or commits taboo, they often will be exiled or disowned from the house.

They might also disown you if your psychic ability came too late in a manner most gruesome.

When his powers came to light, his family was quick to disown him and foist him upon the black ships where he would venture to Holy Terra and undergo the rites of sanctioning before being declared fit for service amid the Astra Militarum as a battle psyker. There he would serve with distinction, his old names and allegiances cast off so he might dedicate himself to a new identity and a new purpose, before being noticed by the Inquisition. Then he would become a member of the many cells employed by a Lord Inquisitor, achieving a great many things while further refining his psychic ability. Until, at last, he became something of a direct student to his Lord Inquisitor, earning the rank of Interrogator and undertaking numerous missions given unto him by the inquisitor himself.

Over several decades, Heinrix distinguished himself and became one of the more treasured acolytes under his Lord Inquisitor. Eventually earning the honor of serving as a direct aid with various tasks and missions to be undertaken within the Koronus Expanse.

An assignment that would, in time, bring them into the confidence of a Rogue Trader.

Inquisitive Heart

Having never had the time to contemplate such matters, Heinrix has always been business first and foremost when it comes to how he conducts himself. It is a common mindset to have when working within His Holy Ordos. But this need not always be the case, especially if he finds himself in close proximity to a dashing woman who might catch his eye.

Heinrix might respond well to the romantic advances of a woman bold enough to pursue him.

His Holiest Ordos

There are fewer individuals within the framework of the Imperium who believe in the God-Emperor and His numerous institutions than those who populate the Holy Inquisition. While others may have greater fervor or zeal, it is Inquisitors who have the unrelenting drive and willpower to maintain absolute loyalty in the face of overwhelming odds. Whether they be physical, sociological or spiritual. And Heinrix is by no means any exception to this rule.

This interrogator would be considered an Adherent Dogmatic.

To the Exclusion of All Else

Not every Rogue Trader can boast about having a member of the Inquisition among their retinue, often because to have one is to have a watchdog of the Inquisition itself within the vicinity of all their endeavors. But the assistance they can offer goes without saying, even more so if they wield the capabilities of the immaterial as well as the mundane.

Heinrix van Calox is one such individual.

Encountering the new Lord Captain during a mission that was, at first, unrelated to their own activities, Heinrix was quick to requisition the Rogue Trader and their retinue to help bring their mission to a conclusion the Imperium would find satisfactory. But it did not stop there for it seems that Theodora, ever the enigmatic figure, had active dealings with the Emperor’s Holy Inquisition. One in which she needed to provide an item of unique origin to the man while also helping with whatever mission he was dealing with at the moment until finally reaching Footfall.

It is after Theodora’s death and the new Lord Captain taking up her mantle that he meets them. With them taking up the responsibilities Theodora left in her passing, he now serves in an advisory and militant capacity as an aid. But weary Rogue Traders would do well to remember where Heinrix’s allegiances lie.

Few among the Inquisition can tolerate the extensive liberties afforded to that august body of authoritative figures.

By His Blade

Among the innumerable assets the Inquisition can bring to bear upon the enemies of mankind, fighters and psykers are among the most plentiful. The former is capable of bringing death at an expeditious rate with a heavy hand and stolid sword arm, a universal solution to any number of problems. Meanwhile, the latter is capable of performing what the mundane can never hope to achieve and, when performed justly by a driven and willful mind, can perform nothing short of miracles.

With his discipline specialization as a Warrior, he benefits from the Charge action similar to Abelard. But he also benefits from being a Sanctioned Psyker, focused more on biomancy rather than divination, and can thus wield the vile powers of the Warp in a much more controlled and consistent manner than Idira with the likes of Iron Arm.

Iron Arm: The target gains +(10 + 4 × psyker’s psy rating) Strength and Toughness until the end of combat.

Charge: The Warrior moves in a straight line and launches a melee attack against any target in the Warrior's path. This attack does not count toward the limit of the Warrior's attacks per turn.
There must be at least 2 free cells between the Warrior and the target to use Charge.
