Tattered Spirit is a Quest in Warhammer 40k: Rogue Trader. Tattered Spirit can be acquired in Act II. After the events of The Escape, the Rogue Trader and their retinue arrive at Footfall to repair the voidship.

Many of the systems on the Rogue Trader's ship have suffered damage in the battle with the cultists. The wounded ship's spirit yearns to reach the only port in the sector - Footfall

Rogue Trader Tattered Spirit Walkthrough
After the events of The Escape, you will be directed to head to Footfall. Before doing this however you will be asked if you want to arrive incognito or officially as a Rogue Trader.
Major choice: The choice affects a number of scenes and dialogue, as well as the options offered during the Underworld quest.
Once you access the map you will be attacked by two ships and be shown the void combat tutorial. Afterwards explore what you can from the system and enter Footfall. At Void Dock Alpha-Rho the Liege Representative will receive you but local thugs will ambush the you and kill the Liege Representative. If Idira is in the party she will foresee the ambush and you will be able to position characters at the start of the fight.
After the fight, a liege servant will approach you and head to the liege regarding your arrival. Continue exploring Void Dock Alpha-Rho, and optionally speak with Opticon-22 to start the On the Hunt for Knowledge quest. There is also a locked container leading to some loot on the right side of the map. It can only be unlocked with the right combination. The combination can be found at the bottom of the page.
Go to the Atrium and then heat to the Liege resides. You will find Jae arguing with him, and receive the Persona Non Grata quest from her. You will immediately have a long discussion with Vladaym Tocara the Liege. He will comment on your choice to arrive either incognito or as Rogue Trader.
If you talk about how you were attacked at the docks and then the Anvers Gang you will receive the Rot quest. If you ask about xenos you will receive the Xenos on the Rampage and Angels of the Emperor in the Expanse rumours. When talking about Footfall and trade, you can decide between the three available convictions. Dogmatic, Iconoclast, or Heretic when inquiring about it. You receive +3 points in the conviction you choose to pursue. Finally, Vladaym Tocara will ask you for help ending the famine that has his Footfall and start the Hunger's Hand quest.
Major choice: If you pass every skill check during dialogue or have the Apex of Brilliance triumph you will unlock a new dialogue option: "The payment will be unfair, as I will be robbing you blind. But you will remain in charge. Do we have a deal?". Choosing it will give you +3 Profit Factor at the end of the Footfall questline.
Rogue Trader can also trade with Vladaym, as he is a representative of the Kasballican Auction.
As you leave the liege's domains, Vox Master Vigdis will inform that the ship is ready. After you leave the liege's residence you will be approached by Bastian Chorda. He will want to offer a deal. Before he has the chance however he is killed by thugs that you have to fight next. If Idira is in the party she will foresee the ambush and you will be able to position characters at the start of the fight.
Loot everyone and return to the voidship. At the shuttle you fill find Heinrix, who will rejoin you and give you the Secrets of the Cult quest. Once aboard the voidship this quest will end and Reclaim What Was Lost will begin.
