The Great Judgement Information Rogue Trader

Rogue Trader Incendia Chorda has taken control of Footfall and brought her own justice and brutal executions of heretics to the station. The former Liege, Vladaym Tocara, has gone underground to oppose her. The Lord Captain's intervention could secure the victory for one side or the other.

Warhammer 40k: Rogue Trader The Great Judgement Objectives

  • Arrest Vladaym (if you told Incendia Chorda you'll help her)
  • Consider Incendia's proposition (if you told Incendia Chorda you won't help her)
  • Deal with the rebels (if sided with Incendia Chorda)
  • Lure Incendia to the Adeptus Amasecus (if sided with Vladaym Tocara)
  • Defeat Incendia Chorda (if sided with Vladaym Tocara)

Rogue Trader The Great Judgement Walkthrough

This quest will begin when you tell Incendia Chorda either that you will arrest Vladaym Tocara or that you refuse. The choice does not matter and does not affect the options offered during the quest.

Go to Martyr's Endurance. As soon as you enter the bar you will begin conversation with Vladaym Tocara. You can exit the conversation at any point to speak with people in Martyr's Endurance before making your decision. Hear him out and you will have the following options:

  1. [Requires: Heretical - Votary] "You want my help? You can get it — on one condition. In my protectorate, I am worshipped as a deity. Fall to your knees, renounce all other patrons, and swear allegiance to me, the Great Beacon, the living god/goddess." - side with Vladaym Tocara
  2. [Heretical] "Down with Chorda. The Emperor's justice has revealed the rot at its core at last. Let us drown it in the blood of self-appointed champions of the faith!" - side with Vladaym Tocara
  3. [Iconoclast] "I will help you overthrow Chorda. Each second of her continued rule will cost the lives of hundreds of innocent people." - side with Vladaym Tocara
  4. [Dogmatic]] [Whip out your weapon and shout] "In the name of the law, every insurgent present here is under arrest!" - side with Incendia Chorda

If you tell Vladaym Tocara to wait before making your decision you can freely loot the place and talk with other characters.

If you speak with Hieronymus Doloroso and either discovered the Cryo-Vault Keepers rumor or are Dogmatic - Fanatic you can discover he is the one who made Incendia Chorda like she is. This will unlock additional dialogue options in both routes as well as allow you to kill him at any point after the quest. If you do not tell Chorda his secret you will gain 500 faction reputation with Drussians.

If Vladaym Tocara dies during the quest you can speak with Octaviana and she will replace him as the vendor for Kasballica Mission.

After the quest is finished you can leave Footfall.

Siding with Vladaym Tocara

After siding with Vladaym Tocara but before calling Incendia Chorda you will unlock some additional dialogue options to convince other characters to help you. You will also unlock some map interactions to make the coming fight easier:

  • At the entrance to the bar you can interact with the floor to set a mine which will explode at the beginning of the battle and kill two of Chorda's men
  • On the stairs leading to the sewers you can interact with fuel barrels to place them near the entrance to the bar (Athletics test)
  • In one of the back rooms you can interact with a pile of crates to place cover near when your forces begin the fight (Athletics test)

Hieronymus Doloroso and his two guards will fight against you but you can convince them to join you. You will need to pass one of the following:

  1. [Requires: Iconoclast - Fanatic] "Because her actions fly in the face of all that you believe in. That you truly believe in. Incendia's world has no place for redemption or mercy or penitence. Would the sight of such a world please your eyes?"
  2. [Requires: Heretical - Fanatic] "You do not believe in Incendia. Or indeed in the Emperor. Your faith is a mere smokescreen for your fear of death, Hieronymus."
  3. [Requires: Discovered his past] "You created this monster. Now it is your duty to stop Incendia."
  4. [Lore (Imperium)] "The law of the Imperium is harsh, but not every transgression is punishable by death. Incendia thinks herself above the law, and that is heresy."
  5. [Persuasion] "Saint Drusus's is a doctrine of redemption, but Incendia has forgotten about that. Now, what else may she have forgotten?"
  6. [Coercion] "You have said it yourself: no one is pure, including yourself and your comrades. Her justice will not pass you by; you will perish too."

Octaviana will not fight but you can convince her to give Vladaym's gunners stronger weapons. You will need to pass one of the following:

  1. [Requires: Level 20 reputation with Kasballica Mission] "Do you think your Kasballica employers will be pleased to learn you refused to help me?"
  2. [Requires: Iconoclast - Votary] [Point to the people in the hall with a sweeping gesture] "This is not about whose idea it is, but who we are doing it for. For the people on Footfall. For you, Octaviana. For your freedom from an insane zealot's reign of terror."
  3. [Requires: Redeemed Ryzza] "I will be part of that plan. And I will risk my head alongside you."
  4. [Coercion] [Raise your voice] "Your time is running out. Are you going to wait for your death, or will you try and put up a fight after all?"
  5. [Commerce] "How about a deal? Help me, and I will let you use my name for commercial purposes. 'Rogue Trader von Valancius's Favourite Bar.' Is that not a generous prize?"

Ryzza will not fight but you can convince her to give Vladaym 3 of her enforcers. You will need to pass one of the following:

  1. [Requires: Level 25 reputation with Fellowship of the Void] "I have struck many deals with the Fellowship of the Void. Are you going to ruin our alliance just like that?"
  2. [Requires: Heretical - Votary] [Draw the Chaos symbol with drops spilt on the bar, then wipe it away] "What if I told you that you and I have another very influential ally?"
  3. [Requires: 3 Profit Factor] [Show her a data-slate with an exorbitant amount] "A rather immodest reward for a modest dealer, don't you think?"
  4. [Persuasion] "Spoken like a cowardly crone, not a dreaded pirate captain."
  5. [Coercion] "Even if you outlive Vladaym, I have the means to make sure it is not for long."

Tell Vladaym you are ready to ambush Chorda and she and her enforcers will arrive. It is possible to avoid the fight against them if you are Iconoclast - Fanatic, pass a Persuasion test and either pass a Lore (Imperium) test or discovered Hieronymus Doloroso's past. If you succeed you will judge Chorda with the following verdicts:

  1. "The verdict will be lenient. Incendia Chorda, I banish you from Footfall. Depart." - Incentdia Chorda survives and will join you at the end of chapter 4
  2. [Execute] "Incendia Chorda, having weighed your crimes, I, {name} von Valancius, sentence you to death." - Incentdia Chorda dies
  3. "Be your own judge." - Incentdia Chorda dies

Regardless of verdict, you will need to fight Hieronymus Doloroso and his two guards next.

After the fight, if Chorda died, you will need to decide what to do with her body. If you give it to the people you will find her hanged at the Atrium entrance stairs.

After the conflict is over, you will speak with Vladaym Tocara will speak with you and you will gain 500 faction reputation with Fellowship of the Void. You will have the following options:

  1. "Cleanse this station of Chorda's miscreants." - gain 500 faction reputation with Kasballica Mission
  2. "I want Chorda's enforcers to not face any reprisals. Let them leave." - gain 500 faction reputation with Kasballica Mission
  3. [Kill Vladaym] "Don't bother thanking me. I'll just take what is mine." - gain 10 Profit Factor

If you don't kill Vladaym you will next decide Footfall's future:

  1. [Requires: Dogmatic - Votary] "Chorda's methods were cruel, but her goal was righteous. From now on, Footfall will be an abode of faith and piety. Control over the observance of the Imperium's laws will be tightened."
  2. [Requires: Iconoclast - Votary] "Footfall is exhausted and wounded by Chorda's cruelty. I am going to have shelters set up where those in need and pain can find a roof over their heads, sustenance, and medical aid."
  3. [Requires: Heretical - Votary] "To the abyss with the Imperial Creed. It does not belong on Footfall. From now on, absolute freedom will be the only law of this place. Whoever disagrees can head for the airlock and take a walk in the void."
  4. "Let things gradually return to the way they were. I will not interfere in the station's affairs."

After Chorda is killed or exiled Footfall will return to its original appearance.

Siding with Incendia Chorda

If you side with Incendia Chorda you will immediately begin battle with Vladaym Tocara but Hieronymus Doloroso and his two guards will help you. After the battle Chorda will arrive and judge both Vladaym Tocara and Ryzza. Ryzza will always be killed although the scene will play differently depending on whether she was redeemed or not. You will have a say in Vladaym Tocara's trial.

  1. [Requires: Dogmatic - Votary] "Death is the Emperor's Peace, and it must be earned. Let me turn him into a servitor on my ship. That will teach him obedience." - Vladaym Tocara will appear on the voidship bridge as a servitor
  2. [Requires: Iconoclast - Votary] "He can still atone for his crimes. Give him to me. Let him purify his soul by sweeping the decks of my ship." - Vladaym Tocara will appear on the voidship bridge
  3. [Dogmatic] "The law says what he committed are hanging offences."
  4. [Iconoclast] [Kill Vladaym] "I will do it myself."
  5. [Iconoclast] "Let him and his people atone with their blood."
  6. [Heretical] "The people must know what happens to traitors. Torture him to death and broadcast his screams live on Footfall's vox-station. I will provide you with my best executioners for the occasion."
  7. [Smile acerbically] "Let's deal with him the way he did. Let us throw him for a loop."

If you discovered Hieronymus Doloroso's past you can bring it up and he will be put on trial too but you will have a say in his sentence.

  1. [Iconoclast] "He was trying to prevent a new Aspyce from coming into this world."
  2. [Dogmatic] "You dish out death sentences, but you pardon your own murderous confessor? Such double standards are true to your predecessor's form."
  3. [Heretical] [Feign righteous anger] "The venom of corruption, for which Hieronymus was the conduit, entered the hearts of his followers as well! They are all complicit in his crime, and therefore must share his punishment."
  4. [Dogmatic] [Kill Hieronymus] "As a favour to you, sister Incendia, I will deal with this myself."
  5. [Dogmatic] "Hieronymus deserves a harsh penance, but not an execution. Give him a different punishment."
  6. "He betrayed you, so you should be his judge."

After Ryzza is executed, if you are Heretical - Votary you can wipe her blood to use it at the chaos altar.

If you go to Ryzza's usual spot you will meet Useful Acquaintance and he will replace Ryzza as the vendor for Fellowship of the Void.
