Rogue Trader World Shapers Walkthrough

This quest begins the first time you enter the Telikos Epsilon system. Land on Janus.

Regardless of the chosen dialogue options rebels will attack the ceremony and you'll have to fight them. After you defeat most of the initial attacks a second wave will break through the estate walls and join the attack. After the fight an Estate Warden will arrive and begin dialogue. You will have the option to kill him in this location for his incompetence. You will be offered an escort to Governor Vyatt but if you accept you will lose all the loot from the killed rebels.

When you visit Governor Vyatt you will have the option to enter with your companions or alone. Entering alone will skip additional companions dialogue.

Major choice: Arresting the governor will unlock a dialogue option to gain +3 Profit Factor if she is not killed by the end of the quest.

Asking her about the superb shot that helped you earlier will start the The Governor's Aide quest. Regardless of how the conversation goes, this quest will instruct you to find out the rebel base. Exit the mansion.

Near the Gazebo on the left side of the map you'll find Yrliet. If you go through all dialogue options without attacking her you can offer her to join you and complete The Governor's Aide. If you attack her instead she will disappear.

On the right side of the mansion, at the end of the garden, you will find an Old Servant. He is dying and after 3 dialogue options he will expire. You can execute him for 4 Dogmatic points at any point instead of asking a question.

Then go the shuttle and close to it you fill find the body bags with the attacking rebels. One of them can be opened to reveal Dried Berries. On the other side you will find a Security Officer about to poison a building in which a surviving rebel barricaded himself into. You can either let him finish or try to get inside yourself. If you choose to get inside yourself go to the door. You can optionally examine it with an Awareness check. You have the following options to enter:

  1. [Coercion] "I am {name}, Rogue Trader and sovereign of this planet. In the name of the Emperor, open this door!" - get in with the rebel alive
  2. [Strength] [Break down the door] - get in with the rebel alive
  3. [Tech-Use] [Pick the lock] - get in with the rebel alive
  4. [Address the officer] "I'm done. Proceed with the clearance operation." - get in with the rebel dead

If the rebel is alive when you get inside you can ask him about the rebels. He will refuse to sell out his fellow rebels so you will have the following options:

  1. [Persuasion] "There will be no end to the war on this planet until I get a handle on the situation. But to do that, I need to meet with your leader." - rebel lives
  2. [Coercion] "Tell me, or I'll tear this world apart to get rid of garbage like you and your brethren!" - rebel lives
  3. [Iconiclast] [Give the rebel an easy death] "The people waiting outside will put you through far worse torment than I will. Goodbye." - rebel dies
  4. [Dogmatic] [Execute the rebel] "I'm done listening to you, rebel." - rebel dies

If the rebel survives till the end he will give you a Rebel Vox. If he does not survive you can loot it off his corpse.

If the rebel survives you will have to decide what to do with him.

  1. [Dogmatic] "This man is now under my protection. See to it that he is held safely in custody until his fate is decided by a fair trial."
  2. [Iconoclast] "Escort this man safely to the perimeter of the estate. He is free to go."
  3. [Dogmatic] "This man will serve Janus yet. Consult your advisors and see to it that this rebel is made into a useful servitor."
  4. [Heretical] "Make an example of this scum. Publicly flay him and string up his corpse outside his family home as a warning. If anyone tries to remove it — shoot them."

There is an open crate on the right side and a locked crate on the left side that you can loot before leaving.

You can have some conversation with the governor about everything you've found. Finally, when ready, there are two ways of finding the rebel base.

  • Either go to the left side of the mansion and ask Vinzelex about Janus pathologies in the flora and fauna, or go to the statue in the center of the map and exhaust all dialogue options with Atilius Quint. If Yrliet has been recruited go to the shuttle, otherwise go to her and tell her everything you're found out and then go to the shuttle. Yrliet will reveal she knows where the revel base is and offer to take you there. If you refuse or attack her she will disappear.
  • Return to the voidship. You will find a new area on Janus called Search Operation. Succeed in the exploration event.

You will find the location of the rebel base in the jungle. After crossing a ravine via a fallen tree you will have two directions in which you can go. The right path is optional, containing two fights. Going along it you will find a rebel encampment. The rebels are not aware of you and you can ambush them. Defeat them and loot the encampment, then continue alone the path beyond. At the end of the path, past two traps, you will be ambushed by 3 Janusian Lacerax and an Alpha Lacerax. Loot the crates in the area and return to the fallen free.

Descending down via the Athletics check and you will find another group of rebels that you can ambush. Near the end of the battle two eldar will attack you too. If Yrliet has been recruited she will tell you about the eldar on Janus. Loot the rebel base. North of the rebel base there will be 4 traps one after another, followed by a locked safe. If you can reach and open it you will gain Ergo Boots.

Continue along the path west of the rebel base, disarming traps and passing option skill checks as needed. Eventually you will be ambushed by two Janusian Lacerax. Finally you will reach a bridge leading to some aeldari ruins. Disable the two traps that stand in the way, pass an optional awareness check in the middle and you will find the last of the rebels, enthralled by the eldar who are trying to activate a dormant webway gate.

Continue across the bridge and a short scene will play followed by dialogue interaction with Muaran. If Yrliet was not recruited or was attacked earlier she will be present with the rest of the eldar.

Major choice: If Yrliet has been recruited, attacking the eldar during the first two dialogue replies will cause her to leave the party and fight with the eldar.

If you do not attack them or insult them the eldar they will ultimately offer a deal: avoid bloodshed but let the eldar rule Janus from the shadows.

Major choice: How you respond to the eldar offer affects the ultimate fate of Janus, as well as what you can do with Vistenza Vyatt later.

  1. [Coercion] [Address the rebel] "Come to your senses, servant of the God-Emperor! Throw off this cursed fog of sorcery and stand with me against the xenos, against these enemies of Humanity!" - Fights the eldar. Rebels join the Rogue Trader. If Yrliet has been recruited she will join the Rogue Trader, otherwise she will join the eldar. You will have the option to side with Vistenza Vyatt later.
  2. [Requires: Iconoclast - Follower] [Address Yrliet] "I can't convince your kinsman, but I know you are on my side... Will you help me save the Lilaethan from the true enemy?" - Fights the eldar. Rebels join the eldar. Yrliet joins the Rogue Trader. You will have the option to side with Vistenza Vyatt later.
  3. [Requires: Heretical - Follower] [Address Yrliet] [Address Yrliet] "Do you not see? Every breath your kinsman takes is riddled with corruption. He resorts to lies, obfuscations, and accusations — all to save his rotten little soul. Kill him. You want to save the Lilaethan, don't you?" - Fights the eldar. Rebels join the eldar. Yrliet joins the Rogue Trader. You will have the option to side with Vistenza Vyatt later.
  4. [Dogmatic] "I cannot give Janus to the Aeldari — humans will only be ruled by humans. But I promise that no harm will come to you." You cannot side with Vistenza Vyatt later.
  5. [Iconoclast] "I don't want any more blood — neither yours nor ours. You have my permission to take Janus and its inhabitants into your... charge." You cannot side with Vistenza Vyatt later.
  6. [Requires: Iconoclast - Follower] "We shall do things another way: I shall grant my protection to this form of alliance between xenos and representatives of Humanity. Together we shall destroy Vistenza and her associates, and then humans and Aeldari will flourish on Janus under my patronage!" You cannot side with Vistenza Vyatt later.
  7. [Dogmatic] "I've had enough of talking. If you xenos refuse to bow down before the Rogue Trader, you will leave me no choice but to kill you."- Fights the eldar. Rebels join the eldar. If Yrliet has been recruited she will join the Rogue Trader, otherwise she will join the eldar. You will have the option to side with Vistenza Vyatt later.

If you chose to fight against the eldar do not put your characters together as Muaran has an Eldritch Storm AOE ability. After the battle you will have the option to kill Yrliet too. If you freed the rebels from eldar control you will get to decide their fate. Choosing to kill them will start another fight with them. If you didn't kill Yrliet she will ask to join you permanently and you can allow or refuse her.

After the battle the shuttle will land behind the bridge so you don't have to backtrack throughout the entire map. Loot the area and then return to the voidship so you can return to Governor Vyatt's Estate. Enter the mansion and speak with the governor. If you have killed both the eldar and the rebels and Yrliet, Heinrix and Argenta are not present at the meeting you can avoid bringing the issue of her corruption, or bring it and tell her you will allow it. Otherwise she will die, either by your hard or those of her companion. The panic room will activate and the traitors will escape through a hidden passage. On the right pillar there is a candle you can interact with to lower the walls and proceed. The path is trapped so be careful. In the room at the end of the tunnel you will find a slaaneshi coven. Kill the Maid of Honour as quick as possible as she has the ability to summon daemonettes and increase Veil Degradation.

After the battle return to the voidship at the bridge and you will be reminded of the promise to supply food to Footfall.

Major choice: Affects the introduction and certain dialogue in chapter 4 and counts towards the conviction-specific ending tally.

  1. [Iconoclast] "Send provision to Footfall." - gain 5 Profit Factor (+8 if you convinced Vladaym Tocara to pay better in Tattered Spirit) and will receive a gift from Calligos Winterscale during The Emperor and My Right
  2. [Dogmatic] "Leave footfall to the depredations of Incendia Chorda." - can recruit Incendia Chorda at the end of chapter 4 if you side with her during The Great Judgement
  3. [Requires: Heretical - Follower] Allow the servants of the archenemy to prepare the "special cargo" for the defiling of Footfall. - gain 5 Profit Factor (+8 if you convinced Vladaym Tocara to pay better in Tattered Spirit) and will receive a gift from Calligos Winterscale during The Emperor and My Right

What level is this quest meant for? The skill checks for most of the lore of the world is insanely high. I'm getting a few 0% success and the rest 20% success at level 20 with 70-80 lore skills.
