The Door is a Companion Quest in Warhammer 40k: Rogue Trader. The Door can be acquired in Act 4.

 

The Door Information Rogue Trader

Idira Tlass has approached the Lord Captain for help. She is plagued by mysterious visions that she believes could change her fate.

  2. Explore Quetza Temer
  3. Take Idira to the planet
  4. Go through the door
  5. Defeat the Farseer
  6. Decide Idira's fate
  7. Talk to Idira on the ship

 

Rogue Trader The Door Walkthrough

In one of the scenes that play out at the beginning of chapter 4 Idira Tlass will ask you for help in deciphering a vision she feels is very important.

Major choice: How you choose to respond to Idira will affect her character development path.

  1. "Before I make my decision, I have questions to ask you."
  2. "We will find this door. I give you my word." - pushes Idira on the Accepted path starts the quest and starts the quest
  3. "We have to find that door. You are too unstable." - pushes Idira on the Rejected path starts the quest and starts the quest
  4. "Out of the question. I will not indulge your sorcerous vision." - does not start the quest

Go to the Nameless Star system. Idira will talk with you about the door.

Major choice: How you reply to Idira will affect her character development path

  1. "What little door?"
  2. "All right, calm down. I need to take care of Winterscale's Flagship right now." - pushes Idira on the Accepted path
  3. [Change back to Vigdis' frequency without saying anything] "There was some interference. Where were we? - pushes Idira on the Rejected path

Proceed through the Hunting Grounds quest until you unlock Haemonculus' Laboratory. When you try to land Idira will ask you to come with you. Proceed through the aforementioned quest again until you reach the following area.

Go right. If Idira is in the party she will reveal a hidden door. Go through it. The next map is linear but there are a couple of traps along the way that you need to deal with. Continue until you reach a Drained Farseer. Regardless of what you choose to do with him, he will become hostile and multiple experimental clones will attack you too. The drained farseer will receive an extra turn each time an ally dies or loses half of its Wounds so kill him first.

Major choice: After the fight Idira will make her choice based on her character development path but you can intervene in her choice. The choice will decide her ending. If Idira equips the Psy-Stifler she cannot unequip it for the rest of the game.

  1. [Requires: Heretical - Follower] "I know of another way to help you. One that will spare you from having to fight the voices ever again. Become one with them."
  2. "Break that abominable device. Robbing yourself of your soul is never the way." - If Idira is on the Accepted path she will destroy the Psi-Stifler. If she is on the Rejected path she will have to be convinced with a skill test to destroy it. You can destroy the device forcefully but this will guarantee a bad ending for Idira.
  3. "Put on the implant. Do not waste another moment. You must survive no matter the cost." - If Idira is on the Accepted path she will have to be convinced with a skill test to equip the Psi-Stifler. If she is on the Rejected path she equip it. You can equip her device forcefully but this will guarantee a bad ending for Idira.
  4. "This decision is yours alone, Idira." - If Idira is on the Accepted path she will destroy the Psi-Stifler. If she is on the Rejected path she will equip it.
  5. [Kill Idira] "A psyker with a xeno-artefact in her head? I don't think so. I will rid myself of this menace." - Idira dies

After the battle loot the farseer and the clones. There is also a door on the side of the room that you can destroy with a Melta Charge to access a bonus area with loot. At the end you can build a plank bridge to return to the beginning of the map faster. Back on the voidship speak with Idira who will comment on the choice made. Afterwards the quest will end.
