On the Hunt For Knowledge is a Quest in Warhammer 40k: Rogue Trader. On the Hunt For Knowledge can be acquired in Act II and is given by Opticon-22 on Footfall. Main Quests in Rogue Trader tackle the story itself, where the player must make a decision in order to complete the quest and pursue a desired path. Quests are generally social, where the protagonist talks to an NPC and Companions to negotiate a situation, to help an ally, or to confront an enemy. Completing a Quest usually gives a reward such as XP, Equipment, the chance to recruit a Companion, and/or access to a new Location.

Rogue Trader On the Hunt For Knowledge Walkthrough
This quest can be obtained by speaking with Opticon-22 in Footfall Void Dock Alpha-Rho and telling him "I seek the friendship of the Adeptus Mechanicus". He will give you the task to scan 10 planets. Do so and return to him and show him the data-slate. This will complete the quest and give you 1 Profit Factor and 30 Scrap. In addition for every 10 planets scanned you can show him another data-slate and gain 1 Profit Factor for each.
