Ensnare the Prey is an Ability in Rogue Trader. Each Archetype and a number of specific Origins have many unique abilities that they can use in combat. Characters acquire Abilities as they gain new levels.Ensnare the Prey enables them to set a trap in a 10-cell radius, immobilizing enemies who trigger it while dealing direct damage. The Bounty Hunter gains bonus MP at the beginning of their next turn, with prey targets remaining immobilized.

The Bounty Hunter sets a trap on a free cell in a 10-cell radius around them. Any enemy entering the 2-cell radius around that trap activates the trap:
- Each enemy in a 2-cell radius around that trap suffers (2 x (greater of Bounty Hunter's PER and INT bonus)) direct damage and must pass an Agility resistance test with a -(2 x (greater of Bounty Hunter's PER and INT bonus)) penalty or become immobilised until the enemy's next turn.
- The Bounty Hunter gains +AGI bonus MP at the beginning of their next turn.
Prey: a target marked as prey is always immobilised until their next turn.
